If you are wanting to take your kids out to eat, breakfast/brunch can sometimes be one of the easier options. There are usually lots of sweet options for kiddos on a breakfast menu, enticing them to possibly sit still for a little longer!
Below are my favorite locally-owned spots for breakfast + brunch in and around Carmel!
Rosie's

Rosie's is an all around 5-star breakfast and brunch spot for me and my family. The atmosphere is very kid friendly, both the kids and adult menu options are unique and delicious, and the food arrives quickly.
They also have a bakery on site where you can pick up some of their famous ooey-gooey butter cookies as a treat on the way out!
Rize

If you are looking for a chef’s breakfast in an environment that is still kid-friendly, Rize is a great spot. The food is almost too pretty to eat (but definitely do eat it because it's delicious) and the kids menu options are chef inspired as well.
Our recommendation is definitely the giant cinnamon roll, we usually get one for the kids to split, and there is still enough for mom and dad to have a couple bites too! If you are looking for a quick light meal, their smoothies are amazing!
Cafe Patachou

With two locations in Carmel, Cafe Patachou is a staple breakfast and brunch spot across all of Indianapolis. Known for their farm-to-table approach, you can really taste a difference in their ingredients. Also–I’ve never had a fluffier omelet than at Cafe Patachou, I don’t know how they do it!
The kids menu offers both breakfast and lunch options, and their cinnamon toast is a fan favorite amongst our family! The atmosphere is very family friendly, you’ll see lots of families with kids dining there while you are eating.
Uptown Cafe

Newer to the Carmel area, Uptown Cafe is a great spot for your traditional breakfast and lunch food. The food comes out quickly and they have a nice covered patio for outside seating in the warmer months. They also make all of their hot sauces, ketchup, mustard, etc. in house and they are delicious! Very casual and friendly environment, this place is a great option for families with little kids.
Just Love Coffee Cafe

Just opening in Carmel, Just Love Coffee Cafe is much more than just a coffee shop. Their food menu is expansive with some really cool options you won’t find at other breakfast/brunch place (like a “womlette” …its a waffle AND an omelet!)
The environment is casual and kid friendly, with the kids menu offering some non-traditional items like “piggy dips” and a “wakey waffle.” Plus, like the name says, they also have an amazing coffee selection.
