Meet Chelsea, the creator behind Keeping Up In Carmel.

I'm a wife, mom, and resident Indiana lover. My husband Peter and I live in Carmel, Indiana with our three small kids. I marry my professional skills as a marketer and photographer, with my daily adventures as a central Indiana mom, to connect families with local activities, businesses, and events through Keeping Up IN Carmel (KUIC).

I've lived in Indiana my entire life, and have been local to the Indianapolis area since moving into the dorms at Butler University in 2011. I was blessed with the opportunity to pursue my dream as a marketer at a local fortune 500 company upon college graduation. After spending a few years in this role, I felt a call from the Lord to step away and focus my time on my family.

Now, my days are spent caring for my 3 kids (ages 5, 2.5 and 6 months), and my evenings/nap times are filled with running Chelsea Kopelman Photography and Keeping Up In Carmel, and working as a part-time marketing director for a local wealth management firm.

​

I started this blog and Instagram account (@keepingupincarmel) as a way to help families build happy memories together by visiting activities and establishments available in the community they call home. 

 

Taking your kids to try new things or visit an activity in your city can feel intimidating. If you don't know what you expect when you arrive, you may not go at all--which can lead to feeling stuck and isolated.

Consider me your friend who can help guide the way. The information you find on KUIC will give you a first hand account from a parent, just like you, who has lived the experience with her family.

 

KUIC generates awareness for events and things to do in the area, as well as provides detailed guidance on how to navigate the experiences with your family. If you have the right information to set you and your family up for success--everyone (including Mom and Dad) can make fun memories together!
